AIDOT Co., Ltd. (CEO Jae-hoon Jeong), the company of the Incheon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, drew attention by winning first place among the final eight
companies at the Innovation Forum, which was a joint venture between Korea and China.
On 15th of October, the ‘2020 Northeast Asia (Korea-China) Innovation Forum and Project IR Roadshow’ was held co-hosted by the Incheon Center and the Dalian City Innovation and Startup Service Center in China.
This was part of the “2020 National Entrepreneurship Week Entrepreneurship Week (aka Twins Week),” a speech given by Chinese Premier Keqiang Li, and was held simultaneously at the Korea Economic TV and Dalian Broadcasting Center studios in China.
Among six Korean companies and two Chinese companies that made it to the final round, Cerviray AI, an AI-based cervical cancer screening solution from AIDOT, an AI-based medical ICT company, won first place.
AIDOT's 'Cerviray AI' conforms to the Chinese government's policy related to women's health, 'Women's Development Force', and it received positive reviews in that it could be
applied to the Chinese cervical cancer diagnosis market in a very efficient and groundbreaking way along with the cervical cancer pre-diagnosis method, which is mainly based on
cytology.
Chinese judging comittee said that “For artificial intelligence technology related to bio and healthcare, high-quality data reflecting the opinions of doctors is very important, and in the case of AIDOT, the opinions of leading doctors in Korea are reflected, so its value is evaluated as very high. Also we expect that through the joint research between the two countries, we hope that this solution will be of great help in preventing cervical cancer in Chinese women.”
AIDOT CEO Jae-hoon Jeong said, “With this first place award, it was objectively proven that AIDOT’s technology and business model hit the Chinese market and it has become clear
that there is global competitiveness when differentiated from the global AI medical ICT model with a competitive business model and corresponding AI technology.”
AIDOT is currently in the process of commercialization in Shenzhen and Beijing, China, and plans to attract investment in earnest with this award as an opportunity. Since its establishment in June 2014, AIDOT has been recognized for its technological prowess, such as being selected as a company by KIC China, selected as Incheon Creative Economy Innovation
Center, and also various government projects.
The company has developed Cerviray AI, an artificial intelligence-based cervical cancer screening system, and is entering the global market, focusing on China and Southeast Asia.
