On 31st of May, AIDOT, a medical AI company, announced that it held a ceremony to celebrate the signing of a business contract with CerviQMed in the Philippines through the 'ICT
Business Partnership 2021' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) as part of the government's New Southern Project.
At the contract signing ceremony, AIDOT agreed with the Philippines to pool their technology and efforts to eradicate cervical cancer in the Philippines.
In addition, both companies decided to increase the local cervical cancer pre-examination rate, which is currently only 7.7%, to more than 70% by 2023 by actively utilizing Cerviray,
AI-based non-face-to-face cervical cancer screening system of AIDOT.
In addition to Chalermpol Tuchinda, vice president of Thailand's National Institute of Science and Technology Advancement, Mary Joy Abueg, vice minister of information and
communication technology in the Philippines, Suk-joon Kim, director of Incheon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Seong-ho Kim, chairman of Korea KCL Medical
Foundation, and professors at Ilsan Cha Hospital, etc. sent congratulatory videos to the event.
CEO of AIDOT, Mr. Jeong said, “As this signing ceremony was upgraded to an official contract signing ceremony between Korea and the Philippines so we could promoted it with more public confidence, as the effectiveness of Cerviray has been proven in the prevention of cervical cancer in Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, in line with the Korean government's New Southern Project policy, AIDOT will actively pioneer and enter the Southeast Asian market."
