Today we are going to visit AIDOT, a company that develops artificial intelligence medical solutions to help medical staff make diagnosis decisions, such as disease presence, severity, and condition.

AIDOT, showing precise and fast diagnosis through AI medical device

CEO Jae-hoon Jeong, who has experience working in IT companies and starting a mobile solution company, came to know that many women around the world, especially in

developing countries, are suffering from cervical cancer by chance. Cervical cancer, which is the second most common female cancer after breast cancer, can be detected early, and

the incidence rate can be reduced by more than 90% only with early screening, but death often results from not receiving proper treatment in the early stages.

CEO Jae-hoon Jeong, who was concerned about creating an environment that was easy to receive examinations, developed Cerviray, an AI solution for cervical cancer, in collaboration with famous Korean obstetrics and gynecology professors and vice president Sung-won Choi, an IT industry expert.

Developed the world's first cervical cancer remote diagnosis AI system

Existing medical equipment, such as CT, MRI, and X-ray, has limitations in moving, and cell examination results may differ slightly depending on the experience of the medical staff.

However, 'Cerviray' of  AIDOT is free to move and updates on-site data to further increase accuracy. In particular, even if an examination is conducted overseas, it is possible to

communicate remotely with excellent Korean medical staff about AI results. Cerviray has the advantage of being able to receive advice from anywhere.

This solution shines even more in developing countries. 85% of cervical cancer deaths are concentrated in developing countries such as China and Southeast Asia, and this is due to

insufficient medical infrastructure. The situation in Korea 20 years ago was not very different from those countries. At the time, cervical cancer in Korea had the highest incidence

among female cancers, but as a result of having an early diagnosis system, the incidence rate could be greatly reduced. Fortunately, as awareness of the problem of cervical cancer is

growing and investment is increasing in each country, the demand for 'Cerviray' is also increasing.

Cerviray is expected to be distributed throughout China, and demand is rapidly increasing in Southeast Asia

'AIDOT' won the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award and the first prize at the Northeast Asia Innovation Forum last year, and at the end of last year, it also received ISO certification, an international quality management system standard. This is expected to boost exports to Southeast Asia and South America.

The innovation of 'AIDOT' does not stop here. It plans to commercialize artificial intelligence-based portable carotid artery ultrasound equipment and solutions in the second half of

the year. It is a solution that determines whether there is a risk of stroke by AI analyzing the data obtained by performing an ultrasound scan directly on the carotid artery in just 10

seconds.

Completed development of AI-based stroke reading system

In addition, it has also completed the development of a real-time gastroscopy artificial intelligence solution. The characteristic and difference of AIDOT's gastroscopy solution is that it displays and informs even of very small lesions in real time at the site where gastroscopy is performed. Whether the lesion found in this way is in the pre-cancerous stage, or in the

case of cancer, whether it is early or progressive, is read by artificial intelligence and the probability is presented together.Currently, research is underway to apply the solution not only to gastroscopy, but also to colon and small intestine capsule endoscopy.

Rapidly growing medical AI market, dreaming of a global leading company

Interest in medical AI has recently grown as it became known that AI was the first to predict the pandemic of Corona 19. Among domestic AI startups, companies in the medical AI

field are growing rapidly. 'AIDOT' is at the forefront among Korean medical AI companies that are in the limelight by combining advanced AI technology with excellent medical

technology.
