Development of ‘Cerviclinic A.I.’, an artificial intelligence-based cervical cancer screening system

completed the development of ‘Serviclinic A.I.’, an artificial intelligence-based remote diagnosis system for cervical cancer announced that it had agreed to establish a joint venture 

with Zhongze Group in Hunan Province, the only medical healthcare pilot area in China.

Buzzpole predicted that the signing of the letter of intent for joint venture by the Zhongze Group will be a signal for the 

start of the Chinese business in earnest, along with an initial investment of 20 million yuan ($3 million).

Due to this joint venture, Buzzpole plans to carry out commercialization services through partnerships with around 2,000 hospitals at an early stage with the Hunan Province, the 

Zhongze Group and the Hunan Province Medical Device Association.

Regarding this achievement, Buzzpole CEO Jae-hoon Jeong said, “China’s artificial intelligence development technology has already taken the lead in the world. In 2017 alone, 1,000 

similar companies were created in China in fields related to general cancer, such as diagnosis of lung cancer and stomach cancer with artificial intelligence. Now, the Chinese 

government is no longer just confined to developing artificial intelligence technology, as much as it emphasizes ‘a competitive service model that can be universally used and 

benefited by the Chinese people in combination with artificial intelligence’, it is important to have a good understanding of the local situation in the country they want to enter.”

In addition, Co-CEO Seongwon Choi said, “Cerviclinic A.I. is a useful service model for public health centers or first-class hospitals that do not receive medical benefits in relatively 

underdeveloped large areas of China. If user take a picture of the cervix through basic simple education and send it remotely to a tertiary general hospital in a big city, artificial 

intelligence will progress the first reading, and Chinese doctors read the final conclusion and transmits the result again. Cerviclinic A.I. diagnoses remotely and the artificial 

intelligence gives the first reading, so you can know the result within 24 hours. As long as there is an Internet environment in place, cervical cancer screening can be performed 

efficiently in any region in China, which has the advantage that screening is possible even in underdeveloped regions.”

Buzzpole emphasized that considering that China, which is currently at the forefront of artificial intelligence technology worldwide, is actively supporting the 'artificial intelligence 

healthcare field' at the national government level, the advance of 'Cervice Clinic A.I.' is significant.

Added that it is considered the right time to enter the market in line with the cervical cancer diagnosis policy according to the Chinese government's national policy, 'China Women's 

Development Force (2011-2020)' , and we had specifically formulated a plan to enter all provinces. The company is currently participating in the ‘KIC China’ 3rd incubation program’ 

recommended by the Incheon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, and has expressed expectations for the future achievements of entering China.
