technologies in healthcare, mobility, lifestyle-related AI solutions, virtual/augmented reality technology, and robotics, and demonstrate related products.

The name of the event was changed from the existing ‘Startup Tech Fair’ to ‘LG Connect’ with the intention of expanding the startup ecosystem by expanding the contact points to the general public.

In addition, seminars on the topics of the startup ecosystem and the latest technology trends, such as ‘the mobility market in the post-COVID-19 era’ and ‘the global advancement of

AI companies and the status of AI in developed countries’, will be broadcast live online through the website and app.

This year, it was decided to select three startups with high growth potential by combining not only expert evaluations such as venture capital, but also online voting by the general

public who participated in the event, and to provide a total of 60 million won in development support. In addition, it plans to cooperate with 'Wadiz' to support participating startups to

attract investment through crowdfunding.

LG plans to support start-ups that have decided to collaborate with ▲ joint research and development ▲ commercialization support ▲ moving into an open research space in LG

Sam-soo Lee, CEO of LG Science Park, said, “Our goal is to build a larger innovation ecosystem and grow together, rather than simply collaborating with startups. In the future, we will continue to strive to lead open innovation and discover future engines through extensive cooperation with industry, academia, and the public sector as well as startups.”
