On 15th of October, it is announced that AI-based medical company AIDOT, (CEO Jeong Jae-hoon, formerly Buzzpole) has partnered with SNET VINA, a local Vietnamese company.
They has signed a mutual cooperation agreement regarding joint market entry for its AI cervical cancer screening 'Cerviray AI' solution worth $1.7 million a year (approximately KRW 1.95 billion).
Although Vietnam has a high demand for cervical cancer screening, there is no appropriate screening method, so the screening rate (6.5%) was relatively low compared to other
cancer screenings. Most of the inspection methods are ultrasound or biopsy, which are expensive for ordinary people to afford, so AIDOT's 'Cerviray AI' is expected to solve these
problems.
The key to this contract is to establish efficient artificial intelligence-based cervical cancer screening in the Vietnamese market in the future based on the fast and accurate reference of Cerviray AI, which has already been commercialized in China.
Aidot CEO Jae-hoon Jeong said, “I am happy to be able to pioneer the Southeast Asian market through the differentiated company matching program of the National IT Industry
Promotion Agency, and I will try to supply additional AI medical solutions that I have in the Southeast Asian market through this cooperation agreement.”
He added, “This cooperation contract is a splendid achievement in the field of artificial intelligence medical ICT combined with the know-how of excellent Korean medical staff, and we give unsparing praise to the efforts of Korean government agencies to advance overseas startups.”
